What is the Ohio Catholic Affinity VISA program?

The  Affinity VISA program through Ohio Catholic FCU is designed to support Catholic organizations in the Diocese of Cleveland by providing financial support.  In addition, the program provides participants with a fairly priced financial product that has minimal fees, saving them valuable dollars during these challenging economic times.

How will participation in the Ohio Catholic Affinity VISA program help my organization?

The Affinity VISA program will allow Catholic parishes, schools and organizations to share in the interest revenue generated by their members who apply for and/or are approved for an Affinity VISA through Ohio Catholic FCU.

Each Catholic organization will earn a portion of the revenue generated through their participants Affinity VISA usage  on a quarterly basis.  The additional funds can be used to help grow the programs and services within your organization, offer more resources to support member families and the community, and assist with improvements in your organization’s infrastructure – whatever you choose!

If my organization participates in the Ohio Catholic Affinity VISA program, how will our unique identity be retained?

The Affinity VISA program serves to enhance your organization’s unique Catholic identity through the VISA card itself and the promotion of the program to you members.  The VISA card provided to all approved participants will utilize an image or logo from your organization (subject to approval from your organization’s representatives) or you can choose the default card image, shown below.  Additionally, your organization’s name will appear on the front of the card. 

We want to hear from you!  Ohio Catholic is here to meet the needs of all our Catholic partners – marketing activities to promote the Catholic Affinity VISA program will be tailored to the individual needs of each Catholic organization and with the approval of the appropriate representatives.  It is our hope that the Affinity VISA program will further enhance the sense of community and pride each member of your organization has and that he/she will be proud to show their support to their Catholic community. 

What are the benefits of the Ohio Catholic Affinity VISA program to my organization’s members and employees?

In addition to helping their chosen Catholic organization, participants of the Affinity VISA program can enjoy special low interest rates on balance transfers and all purchases made with the Catholic Affinity VISA.  The Catholic Affinity VISA* also includes:

  • No Balance Transfer Fee – savings of $100 based on $5,000 transfer that would incur 2% balance transfer fee
  • Low Minimum Payment Requirements – 2% of outstanding balance requirements
  • No Annual Fee – savings of $18 – $150**
  • No Minimum Finance Charges
  • No Cash Advance Fee – savings of $100 based on a $5,000 advance incurring a fee of 2%

Total Potential Savings per Participant – $350.00!
