Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union hosted its 63rd Annual Meeting at Light of Hearts Villa on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Joe Williams, Board Vice Chair, opened the meeting by welcoming members, employees, supervisory committee members, and the other members of the board of directors. Joe then introduced Father Haren from St. Monica Church to begin the meeting with prayer.
After approving the minutes from last year’s annual meeting, Todd Turner, CEO, shared the financial results from 2016, along with highlights regarding the conversion, new product offerings, and community outreach. Elizabeth Hickle, executive director of Light of Hearts Villa, then spoke about the beautiful host facility and the services her organization provides.
Mike Wisnor, vice president of marketing and mission at Ohio Catholic FCU, presented a brief history of the organization, reviewed a number of the unique outreach programs, and provided a financial breakdown of the $107,575 that was donated back to the Catholic community in 2016.
After the formal presentations, everybody in attendance enjoyed a round of team trivia with questions focused on Catholicism, credit unions, and the City of Cleveland. Each member of the winning team received a $25 Visa gift card. There was also a drawing held in which two members in attendance were able to select a non-profit charity of their choice for a $250 donation to be made in their name.
Joe Williams returned to the podium to thank everybody for attending and to officially close the meeting. Joe then invited Father Haren to end the evening’s activities with a prayer of benediction.
A special thank you to the marketing and mission department for planning the event, Maple Heights Catering for the outstanding food, Carol James Florist for the beautiful centerpieces, and Light of Hearts Villa for being such gracious hosts for the 63rd Annual Meeting.
