Ohio Catholic FCU partnered with the Knights of Columbus Father Ragan Council 3269 to sponsor a bus trip to the 44th Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. A total of 56 people, ranging from high school students to senior citizens, boarded the bus late in the evening on Thursday, January 26, and drove through the night to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Members and guests attended a 7:30 a.m. Mass and then had the opportunity to tour more than 70 chapels located at the National Basilica.
Later in the morning, members and guests headed to the National Mall to listen to a series of pro-life speakers, including Vice President Mike Pence, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, and Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson. The hundreds of thousands of those in attendance then marched from the National Mall to the steps of the Supreme Court of the United States. After the march, members and guests boarded the bus for the return trip to Ohio, arriving back home at about 2:00 a.m.
Mike Wisnor, Vice President of Marketing & Mission for Ohio Catholic FCU, noted, “This was a great opportunity for us to partner with our members and the Knights of Columbus to express our support for the sanctity of life and we will certainly be headed back again next year.”
